The CI-HR, Miraco's "Ruggedized" DF9 LCD Connector System



Miraco is proud to announce a significant addition to our burgeoning "CAIN" display interconnection product line; a High Reliability "ruggedized" DF9 LCD connector system, known as the CI-HR. The new product utilizes Miraco's proven standard technology and manufacturing methods to interconnect the Hirose DF9, a common Flat panel display connector, to either another DF9 or a ZIF/LIF connector using Flat Flexible Cable (FFC) commonly known as "Tape Cable".

In addition, the new interconnection system incorporates an integral shroud to reduce the common rocking movement between the two mated DF9 connectors that can lead to discontinuity or a loss of connection. The shroud does not interfere with the DF9's locking systems.

Combined, these technologies make our CI-HR systems unsurpassed for reliability:

  • CI-HR system components are used in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and as originally intended, ensuring no degradation in the OEM's connector performance.
  • CI-HR system manufacturing methods eliminate the possibility for flux entrapment in the flat flexible cable which may cause current leakage.
  • CI-HR systems use a low stress over molding to eliminate warping of the Hirose DF-9 connector which may cause intermittent electrical contact or poor latch engagement.
  • CI-HR systems incorporate an integral shroud to stabilize the connection and reduce movement which can lead to discontinuity.
  • CI-HR systems are 100% electrically tested for continuity and shorts are offered in 31, 41, and 51 positions in any orientation.
These features provide our customers with a reliable, customizable option critical to meeting their increasingly demanding electronic packaging, electrical, mechanical, environmental and cost requirements.
